| Scrub Jay at the birdfeeder |
I have a couple of devotional books that I use while I study and they seem to have just the topics I need on any given day. Today one of the authors spoke of God's kindness to all and suggested that if God is kind to me, I should be kind to myself. I had already written that I needed to have grace for myself today and to remember that I am perfectly human, not perfect. Jesus is perfect and He gives me grace.
I love birds, and I love the beauty of "my mountain" and I always hope that other people have something they love to look at every day. I feel very loved when I look out on the beauty of the world and I feel like God sees me when He sends all sizes of birds to visit in the morning. I get hummingbirds, finches, scrub jays and turkeys the most, but I also see Lazuli buntings and black headed grosbeaks and other birds I may not have identified yet. These are birds from very little to quite large! I've had very large hawks fly directly towards me. That's a little intimidating!
Every morning I look at the beauties of the world around me and remember that these things were created to enjoy because I am loved, and so are you.
"For the mountains shall depart, and the hills shall be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee..." Isaiah 54:10
